A little bit of backwards progress

You guys were so helpful after I shared my first attempt at skating backwards. Some of the tips you gave me were bending my knees more, softer legs, and practice looking behind me, which I've been trying to do both ways. I've tried actually shifting my weight and lifting my feet a little but I still get spooked now and then. My main question today though is: what do you see me doing or not doing that is keeping me from bringing my feet closer together? I feel like my clunky progress with crossovers might be related, and that's the main reason I think I should figure it out. I'm aware I'm not thin, so I feel like I'm bringing my thighs together about as much as I can. I'm not sure what to fix :/ submitted by /u/Professional-Kick-83 [link] [comments]
